You know it’s been a good wedding when it takes three days to choose & edit previews!!
Becky & Andrew’s wedding at Piperdam Resort on Saturday was amazing!! Non stop all day but a day filled with lots of lovely, personal touches.
Becky is a primary school teacher & her pupils made lovely bunting with wedding cake designs, so thoughtful & a way for them to be part of the big day too.
Family friends were involved as suppliers, handy when you have talented people as friends!! Jackie Towns made their beautiful wedding cake complete with flowers on top to match the girls’ bouquets & Gordon Morris piped them in & out of the ceremony.
The forecast was for thunder & lightning all afternoon but luckily it was wrong & all the photos were able to be taken outdoors & guests got to sit in the sunshine.
I met Becky, Andrew & their dog Ralph in December at their pre wedding shoot. Becky’s family & their dog Hamish were there too & both dogs were at the lodge on the wedding morning, so many cute photos of them, that might be something to do with why the preview is late 🙂 🙂
The morning was a mix of emotions, tears when Becky saw her flowers by Linda from The Flower Pavilion, everyone in hysterics at Ralph’s miffed looking face when he was shut out of the room with the wedding dress & a few worried looking faces when I missed the guys’ Jagermeister photo & they had to do it again – double shots before lunchtime!!
Hair & make up at both lodges was by Claire Brown Artistry, Abbie Stewart Makeup, Kirstie Curran – Mirror Mirror & Rosie Myles Hair – McIntyres. The girls’ & both Mums’ hair & make up was gorgeous & the boys all looked very dapper!!
Lovely ceremony conducted by registrar Sandra Pattie, the Riga Suite was chockablock with 140 of Becky & Andrew’s nearest & dearest plus their 3 best men & 5 bridesmaids.
Guests were entertained with old Oasis tunes as background music by guitarist Cambo Smith, nice smiley photo of him below!!
The speeches were hilarious!! Andrew, Becky’s Dad Gary & all three best men stood up to say a few words & everyone jokingly mentioned Becky constantly going on about running the London Marathon, Jack presented her with a London Marathon medal, love Becky’s face in the photos, such a funny part of the day!!
Great to work with videographer Tom Callander again – if you need a videographer, he’s your man!! He brought smoke bombs which he or I had never used before & the results are interesting!! Great idea for weddings, you could even match them to your wedding colours!!
Franco made sure the dance floor was full all night, love the Strip The Willow photos!!
Ralph came down to the reception towards the end of the night & had his own wee mini shoot with his newly married Mum & Dad, so sweet, especially when Becky said “give me a kiss goodnight” & he did haha!! Totally unfazed at lots of guests, a videographer & a photographer all around him, a born superstar!!
Congratulations again Mr & Mrs Findlay, I loved being a part of your day, thanks for having me!! Wishing you both (and Ralph) a long & very happy future together!!
Hundreds & hundreds more photos to come but these should tide you over till password day – guests, pinch what you like for social media & you can contact me via my website to order high res files or prints!!
Hope everyone loves the previews….
